Rochdale Football Club has been confirmed as one of the sponsors for this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.
As part of the agreement and for the first time, Rochdale Football Club will be an official festival partner, marketing the event to their thousands of fans during their pre-season and promoting it at Spotland Stadium during their opening games in August. The League One club will also take part in the festival itself on the 4 and 5 September with their Dale in the Community Sport Trust team hosting football skills sessions and guest appearances by their mischievous mascot Desmond the Dragon!
Keith Hill, Manager of Rochdale Football Club said:
“Rochdale Feel Good Festival is one of the biggest and best events around and we want to help them build on the success of recent years for 2015. I know a lot of our supporters are fans of the festival too so it’s a good partnership. I’m planning to come down with some of our players on the Friday, we may even try our hand with the cooking!”
Award winning BBC Fusion Chef Aazam Ahmad, one of the festivals five star chefs visited Spotland Stadium this week and said:
“We’re really looking forward to working with the club and engaging with the fans. I love the community spirit in the town and I love the festival.”
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture. Music acts already confirmed for the main stage include The South, Toploader, Kirsty Almeida and The Uplifters. Celebrity chefs including Rachel Khoo, Kevin Woodford, Aazam Ahmad and Andrew Nutter will host live cooking demonstrations throughout the event, which will also include the popular food market.
