It will be open every day from midday until 10pm and there will be live music from a host of top talent, including Rochdale’s own soulful folk singer Katie O’Malley, acclaimed Manchester five-piece indie band, Last Race Home and JW Lees MPA Winners ‘King Kartel.’
On Wednesday evening from 7pm there will be two performances from the Rochdale Music Service Brass Band. On Thursday at 8pm ‘The Hotspur Press’, winner of this year’s Rochdale Feel Good Battle of the Bands competition will play. Rochdale indie outfit ‘Smashing Lads’ take to the stage on Friday. Also on the bill over the weekend are ‘indie rockers ‘OK Broken’, blues band ‘The Twisted Dolls’, soul singer Katie O'Malley and new Middleton band ‘The Bright Black’.
There will be festive food and drink including German beers, pulled pork sandwiches, German sausage, gourmet beef burgers and sweet treats!
Councillor Janet Emsley, Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing at Rochdale Borough Council said: “This is going to be a fabulous festive addition to our outdoor market. It’s always a busy time for our shops and it’s really important that we all support our local businesses too – this Mistletoe and Gluhwein Bar as well as all the fantastic music will gives you lots more reasons to come into town, shop locally, absorb the festive atmosphere and stay for longer.”
The first three hours of parking in town centre council car parks is free.
