St Andrew’s Methodist and United Reformed Church in Rochdale has moved – but it’s not gone far.
Planning permission was granted and Globe Construction started on site in June 2013 with the new building being completed in early January 2014.
The congregation at St Andrew’s haven't had too far to go as the church has relocated to a purpose-built facility just across the road on Entwisle Road.
Facilities within the new building include a multi-use worship space and café area in the foyer and community facilities.
The previous building, on Smith Street, occupies part of the site required for the multi-million pound new shopping and leisure development, which is a key element of the regeneration of the town centre.
