Rochdale’s Sixth Form College:
Opened in September 2010 and is already in the top 5% of A-Level institutions in the country.
Situated opposite Hopwood Hall, the town’s further education college, it has radically transformed sixth form education in the borough.
With around 1,000 students, the college offers impressive teaching facilities, a state-of-the-art IT suite, a theatre and a fitness suite. These facilities are amongst the best in the country for 16-18 year old A-level students.

Hopwood Hall College:
Provides vocational skills-based courses at its Rochdale campus in the heart of Rochdale town centre.
Students can take courses in hairdressing, beauty and holistic therapy, catering, construction and art and design.
As part of the programme to enhance the College, 'skills street' on St Mary Gate, opened in Autumn 2013. Here you can visit Hopwood’s very popular training restaurant and hair & beauty salon. Both of these facilities are run by the students and offer high quality, low cost services to the public
Other improvements include a new entrance and changes to the internal layout to create a ground floor shopping street for students.
Over-cladding of the building has been completed and a redundant building has been cleared to provide on-site car parking.
