Rochdale Leisure Centre:

The new swimming pool and sports complex for Rochdale opened to the public in July 2012.

The £10.8 million development features an eight-lane 25 metre swimming pool and a 17 metre learner pool with moveable floor, sauna and steam rooms, two fitness suites, dance studios, a four-court sports hall and over 160 parking spaces for centre users.

Rochdale Leisure Centre is the third new multi-million centre to be built in the borough in the last three years and is a fantastic complement to the facilities in Heywood andMiddleton

It replaces the 1930’s Central Leisure Centre which has now been demolished to make way for the large car park for the centre and part of this site will be used for the relocation of St Andrew's Church that is itself making way for the new town centre retail and leisure development.

For more information about the centre and other sports and leisure opportunities in the borough visit Link4Life.
